Yellow Polka Dot Bikini.

Fedora: random store
Top: Target
Bottoms: Victorias Secret

Finally got some wear out of one of my new bathing suits today. It was a gorgeous day and I can't think of a better way to have spent it than at the beach. I believe this marks the official start of summer and nothing screams out summer like a straw fedora on your head to accompany your beach attire! I saw multiple people sporting fedoras and straw hats at the beach today. Not only does a fun hat keep your whispy hair under control, they're also the perfect chic accessory for summer!

The other night, I grabbed coffee with a friend at a little cafe called Milk & Honey located right around the corner from my work. I enjoyed a piece of toast with jam and some delicious coffee, and pondered how I've survived so long without knowing about this place. It's so cute and dainty and I felt so relaxed. It may have been my first time there, but it sure won't be my last! :)

Sunday Inspiration.

Some fun inspiration for such a beautiful Sunday. I think the most viewed blog I read is Dirty Little Style Whore.. which is where I found these photos. If you have not read DLSW, you musn't be human.. haha ok you're human, but you're missing out if you haven't checked out her tumblr!  It's great for inspiration!

Snow Leopard.

Shirt: store in LA
Bandeau: Urban Outfitters
Leggings: H&M
Shoes: thrifted Sam & Libby's
Necklace: Vintage
Belt: F21

Did you know every cheetah has different spots? That's one reason why I love wearing cheetah print.. there is so much variety in the print that its highly unlikely to run into someone sportin your spots. I got this shirt in LA and the white cheetah print caught my eye. It's a little more subtle than the brown cheetah print so if you're not into wearing prints, be daring and try out white cheetah print this season!
I recently got this vintage necklace from a friend whose aunt collects vintage jewelry and sells it. I got a mini gold sequined coin purse, some bracelets, and this necklace.. I'm not sure why I didn't know about this sooner!
It's finallllyyyyy F R I D A Y! Have a good one!

Summertime, When the Living's Easy.

Blazer: F21
Flannel: F21
T-Shirt: Unique LA
Leggings: H&M
Booties: F21

Button-down flannels, a staple garment for every closet. I love layering flannels with blazers and over t-shirts, or simply pairing them with your fave denim shorts and wedges. However you decide to wear a flannel, they definitely aren't going out of style anytime soon. Try wearing your flannel unbuttoned over a dress this summer.

I am officially on summer break!! :)

Underwaterland.

"Underwater Synchronize Swimming"-by Jill Greenberg

"Alice In Wonderland"-by Elena Kalis
Is it just me and my daydreams of being poolside right now, or are these pictures amazing?! I was browsing Nasty Gal's blog and came across these photograps that I just had to share! I've always had a facination for photography, especially when it involves fashion. Oh how it inspires me when people are creative.

p.s. I'm officially done with finals! yay!! h e l l o summer! :)

Stud Muffin.

Jacket: vintage from Wasteland
V-Neck: Urban Outfitters
Jeans: 2.1 Denim
Heels: F21
Purse: thrifted from Buffalo Exchange

Another mini purse. In love with the studs. This one is the perfect size for every day use though. I almost think it's better to have a smaller purse so I don't attempt to shove my whole life into a large one, making it weigh as much as I do! Ladies, I'm sure you can relate. Sorry my pics are kind of grainy :( Not sure what happened there.
I worked all day today, and I'm learning something new everyday. I was proud of myself for convincing a customer to buy a more expensive pair of headphones we carry.. I felt like a good sales associate! My advice to all you soul-searching for careers.. do what you love to do, because in the end, that's what will make you most happy, not money.

Viva Las Vegas.

Paid a visit to good ol' Las Vegas this weekend with the best friend to see Carrie Underwood in concert. I was in awe of how amazing she was .. her voice was insanely good and her outfits were drool worthy. Although it would be much more fun as a 21 year old, we found ways to have fun and enjoy ourselves. The coolest was her electrical dress.. it played pictures of fireworks like a television. Where can I get one?!

Downsize.

Forget huge boho bags. Small-framed, over the shoulder purses have returned and they are overflowing in the streets. Of course I couldn't wait any longer to find the perfect one and lucked out when checking out of Buffalo Exchange to find this kelly green Coach purse for $28! What a steal right!?

Streetstyle Assignment.

Last week for my Streetstyle class, we had an off campus assignment to go out to one of our favorite locations, hunt for people wearing styles that we've talked about in class , take photos of them and turn them in to my teacher. It was so fun to actually be the photographer of the streetstyle pictures instead of looking at a streetstyle blog with pictures someone else took. Especially because these pictures were from my city. We all know that NY, LA and all the big citites are known for their diversity of people and style, but who knew Southern Cali had so much style? Sometimes it's fun to people watch, and check out their styles. It's really inspiring and interesting. And that's why I'm sharing with you my favorite streetstyle pictures that my classmates took.  To see more of them, go to my school's blog.

Have a great day!

Follow Friday.

Seems as though I tend to partake in activites that lack existence of males. For example, I grew up dancing.. the majority of guys to girls is very low. And now, being involved in the fashion industry, I find myself in the same boat. That's why for Follow Friday this week, I chose Graham of Suck My Savvy. He is one of the only male fashion bloggers I have found that I think is worth reading. He has an amazing eye for style and shares his thoughts on art, music, and life. Take a minute to check out his blog, it's refreshing!

Plaid Blouse: F21
Dress: H&M
Belt: F21
Heels: F21

DO mix patterns this summer! Whether it's stripes and florals, or stripes and polka dots, mixing patterns is a definite must, especially with patterns on the rise right now. I chose to mix plaid and stripes today by looking for similar colors in each, to tie in the blend with out overdoing it. What do you think about mixing patterns this summer?

Happy Friday!!

xoxo

p.s. I'm to 70 followers! :) Let's make it to 80!
